Chip Roe is a retirement planning specialist who helps clients navigate the myriad of investment choices and tax considerations over a client’s lifetime.  Since obtaining his CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER tm) designation, Chip has guided clients through 6 major stock market crashes, 5 bear markets, countless financial crises as well as leading through very prosperous times.  His expertise in financial planning has been sought out as an expert witness in family law cases.

Chip is in his 3rddecade of the financial advisory business.  In addition to the CFP®, Chip also holds the designations of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Western Carolina University. 

As a member of the Financial Planning Association and past president of the Durham/Orange Estate Planning Council, Chip is active in his profession.  Chip holds a General Securities license (Series 7) and is an Investment Advisor representative license (Series 65) with NFP Securities.  In addition, Chip is also a principal of the Potter Financial Group and a member of the Fusion Advisor Network.
